Eloping? Girl, I don't blame you! The politics and peer pressures of wedding planning can get a little overwhelming at times, so I'm all for a private affair with your tightest of inner circles. That reminds me of our first ever editorial shoot at a beautiful beach in Majorca. We got up at the crack of dawn, my then fiancé (now hubs) and I, and got these gorgeous sunrise shots - no editing required! The lighting, the scene, the colours were stunning. I'd love to go back and do it all again.
This was the launch of our first ever line - bespoke bridal capes and ombre veils. Who knew it would be the start of a super fun business venture? We've grown a lot since then but this shoot is still true to our roots and I often look back at it to remind me of my brand vision and goals.
I chose a soft palette of neutral pinks, blush and ivory tones to make the pops of colour really stand out on the ombre veils. Pink and blue is one of my favourite contrasts so I absolutely adore this image of our pink veil against the dreamy blue sky - in fact I think this might be my fave shot.
Thankfully there weren't many people around at the crack of dawn, and the people we did see (mostly fitness fanatics) paid us no mind - oh, apart from this cool island pup - our next model?!
