Well, I've been real bad at blogging lately, haven't I? I'm sad to say I broke my weekly update that I'd managed to keep up since January, but as they say, life gets in the way! This has been the busiest time of the year so far for veil orders, which is AWESOME! But as I teach part time it also happens to be the busiest time of the teaching year. Finding a balance can be hard at times but thus is the life of an independent business owner.
I was thrilled to take some time out amongst the busy month of June to take a look at Lizzie's lovely wedding photos that she kindly shared with me. Lizzie was a last minute bride who really wanted a cape veil to complete her Rembo Styling Rock The Frock bridal gown, so I rushed to the dye lab to pull together a blue ombre draped tulle cape with the quickest turnaround time I could manage! It was great to see how the veil with its flash of blue tied in with the whole wedding and the tartan colour scheme. I'm a huge advocate of accessorising (duh!), and I would always recommend planning your accessories as intensely as you do your wedding dress. Accessories are a great way to inject your character and personal style into your big day, or tie in your colour scheme in a fun, alternative way. One of my favourite sayings is 'love is in the details', and I truly think this applies to accessories too.
Lizzie got married at the beautiful Voewood in Norfolk, with its stunning grounds it provided a quintessentially British garden backdrop for Lizzie's nuptials. These photos are by Luis Holden, who has captured the couple wonderfully. I adore natural, unposed wedding photography and these candids are just divine.
Thank you Lizzie for choosing me to make your veil, it was an honour and seeing these gorgeous pictures made my week! If your'e looking for your own bespoke ombre veil or bridal cape, check out our collection over on our Etsy store and get in touch for a custom order.
