Friends of W Collective: Sasha Brown MUA

I absolutely adore make up. I am a product junkie, I love makeup and skincare reviews, the latest 'it' products and brands. One of my favourite things about doing styled shoots is working with makeup artists. I admire their craft so much - despite my efforts I can't nail the perfect, flawless foundation or cat eye on myself! The process of applying makeup (and even removing it) is very therapeutic for me. Even in lockdown I enjoy my skincare routine and applying even a little bit of makeup each day (there are lots of mirrors in my house, so although nobody else will see me, I will, several times).

Throughout the UK lockdown a lot of MUA's have been sharing their beauty secrets through social media, and I have enjoyed scrolling through Sasha's feed for inspiration. I worked with Sasha on a styled shoot last October at Garthmyl Hall. I had been following her on Instagram for a while so it was lovely to put a face to a name. I have to refrain from rummaging through the makeup artist's bags and cases at photoshoots - but I just love to see what products they use and recommend. I particularly love how Sasha's looks are always natural and don't feel overdone.

We even got the chance to play with some biodegradable glitter from Wild Glitter on this shoot, which Sasha effortlessly tied in to the makeup looks she created. Photos by Olivia Moon.

So if you're looking for a master of makeup to look like your best self on your wedding day, give Sasha a call! Sasha does bridal packages, makeup lessons and events & prom makeup. Sasha is based in Worcestershire/West Midlands and uses premium beauty brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown and Chanel. I hope to work with Sasha again once lockdown is lifted, but for now I'll have to stick with stalking her Instagram in hopes that I can recreate her effortlessly glam looks!
