Friends of W Collective: Colette Bailey MUA

I was introduced to Colette through my sister-in-law, who had her makeup done by her as a bridesmaid at her friend's wedding. I was never sure about having a makeup artist for my own wedding, as I loved to do my own makeup and worried that I wouldn't look like 'me' if somebody else did it. After a trial with Colette for my hen do, I was sold! She interpreted the look I wanted, and it lasted all night (even through a torrential downpour at 2am). She did mine, my bridesmaid's, mom and mom-in-law's makeup on my wedding day, and I have used any excuse to have my makeup done by her since, including for my Masters graduation.

Back in October we shot an 80's inspired shoot at The Giraffe Shed, and I knew I had to get Colette on board. Colette created two looks, inspired by pop stars of the 1980s. I loved the highly pigmented eye colours and strong blush - not my usual style but so much fun to try out for the day!

The makeup lasted all day, as always, with just some lipstick top-ups needed after lots of cups of tea to keep us warm. Thank you to Colette for this gorgeous makeup! It was completed by Jenny & Beth of Hair Comes The Bride (there's a blog about them coming soon!) who styled our hair for the ultimate 80's look. Thank you to Rocksalt Photography for the awesome images.

Big massive thanks once again to the super talented Colette, who is the founder of Girlcode Salon in Telford - be sure to check out Colette & her squad's amazing hair & beauty skills, they're definitely the girls you need by your side for your wedding morning glam!
